Under this agreement, Wing Aviation will assume all Aircraft Management and FAA Part 135 Charter operation responsibilities for the Western Airways fleet, solidifying its position as the largest operator in Texas.
Western Airways will continue as an FAA certified Part 145 Repair Station with plans to enhance their already robust technical infrastructure at the Sugar Land Regional Airport.
Wing Aviation and Western Airways are both well respected private aviation brands in Houston. Both companies earned and maintained the highest-level safety standards for their operations, including the IS-BAO certification and the ARG/US Platinum Ratings. The synergy will continue between the two companies past the initial transfer of the aircraft management and charter business. Western will provide maintenance support for the Wing managed aircraft, to supplement Wing’s in-house capabilities.
