Black Walnut Supports 2025 Ready Woodlands Emergency Preparedness Event

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Black Walnut proudly participated in the annual Ready Woodlands Emergency Preparedness Event, held just steps away at The Woodlands Township at 2801 Technology Forest Blvd. This important community event focused on hurricane preparedness, emergency planning, and family safety, drawing hundreds of residents and families.

Serving Up Community Support

As a longtime member of The Woodlands community, Black Walnut provided complimentary breakfast catering for event exhibitors and agency participants, fueling the morning with fresh, chef-crafted favorites. Attendees received free kids’ gelato, which quickly became a crowd favorite on a warm spring day.

Following the event, many families and neighbors continued their Saturday by enjoying brunch and lunch at our cafe, conveniently located adjacent to The Woodlands Township offices next to the 2829 Technology Forest Blvd. Class-A office building within the Black Forest Technology Park.

Black Walnut: A Proud Local Partner Since 2002

The Ready Woodlands event was a timely reminder of the importance of preparation, especially as we head into hurricane season. With expert-led workshops, hands-on safety demonstrations, and activities for kids, the event offered practical tools and peace of mind for residents looking to build or strengthen their emergency plans.
