U.S. Customs and Border Protection Federal Inspection Station is now in Operation at the Conroe North Houston Regional Airport.
The facility, which is adjacent to the Galaxy FBO allows inbound international flights to the Conroe North Houston Regional Airport, avoiding congested Houston airspace.
The CBP-FIS is now open daily between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and customs clearance can be scheduled 24/7 with advanced notice.
The 3,300-sq-ft facility cost $2.5 million and was paid for by a partnership among the county, city and private investments, including The Woodlands Economic Development Partnership,Montgomery County, City of Conroe, Conroe Industrial Development Corporation , Black Forest Ventures and Shenandoah Municipal Development District .
